1. Yup, and if my friend dies
in Afghanistan like he thinks he will, it won't even count. :-( It'l be "just another number" and it'll be given even LESS corpmedia attention than the Iraq deaths, which is outstanding.

WHY, oh why, aren't these men and women (or boys and girls, if you prefer) being profiled on every major newspaper? Not that the Iraqi and Afghani losses aren't as important, but if we're "supporting the troops" and really concerned about these wars, shouldn't the so-called American public at least know what we're losing in terms of our own?

I really can't believe how little Iraq is being covered. And Afghanistan...people seem to think that shit is over and believe me, it's not. It's another Iraq on the way.

4. Thanks for the link, but
obviously, it sort of confirms that they're just numbers. Nothing against you, of course! Just that, as he says, nobody even cares anymore. Obviously we do, and that's what's so f**ked up about our media. They keep telling us to be afraid of this and that and "the North Korean Menace" but show us American Idol like everything's okay. I don't blame him at all. He's right, that most people have forgotten about him and his guys.
