1. Bush is writing a condolence letter to Linda Lay.
I don't imagine he has written 2,540 other condolence letters.

3. The troops didn't give W $100,000, Lay did
W knows his political indebtness. Linda Lay may now be able to keep much of the fortune Lay illegally acquired. Wonder if any of the Lay kids are serving in Iraq or Afghanistan? You think?

4. I guess a life isn't worth $100,000.
Certainly not to Bush.

5. "We" doesn't mean most of America
I look around this country and see people more focused on their next meal, their next big ticket item purchase, and their cell phone than I do the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and anyone who might be dying in them.

6. How very sad
W's wars have been outsourced to the middle class and the poor in this country and no one else cares. No skin off their nose.

8. I've never seen a country with less affect.
But its people sure do like to show off their possessions! The avarice in the US is stunning.

9. The average American family is more involved in soccer
than the Iraq war. The wealthier they are, the less involved.

10. Our culture is a stressed out one and lacks a public square
in most communities.

But if you ask us, if you get us to attend, that's a different matter.

11. Only about another 300 to go and will="official" 911 deaths, ? for rw here
Edited on Fri Jul-07-06 11:37 AM by uppityperson
can we quit then? OK rightwingers, OK fundamentalists, you say we attacked Iraq in retribution for 911, attacked them there so they won't attackus here again, etc. Can we quit then the official numbers are about equal? Is an eye for an eye completed then?
