Is it time to review Feingold's "censure" proposal ?
Senator Feingold proposed a censure of the President for the NSA spying on tens of millions of American citizens. He got very little support. Since that time, we have found out that the President was also spying on the banking records of American citizens. And now, today, the Supreme Court has declared Bush's action "illegal" per the laws of the United States and also the Geneva Convention rules. The Spokesman for Bush, Tony Snow comes out to answer questions about the ruling and no reporter questioned the "illegality" of the actions. They wanted to know what the President was going to do to "get around" the Supreme Court ruling? How about we address the "legal" issues? How about some questions on the "illegality"? The press has fallen into their trap, it appears?

It's not a winning issue for Dems (DLC Vilsack) and besides, George Bush is not the point any more, he isn't running for office in 08 (Lakoff).

You see, it's not responsible decision makers who ignore and break laws that are criminal or bad, it's IDEAS that are bad! We must not punish or hold accountable REAL MEN. Only in the abstract. Only the philosophy.

Everyone has been misled, is the cry, but no one in government doing the misleading or the constant acquiescing is accountable. No one in the human government has actively DONE wrong. No. It is some other passive entity entirely: **SHIT** just HAPPENS, see?

:sarcasm:

3. No...
It's called impeachment, it is the only appropriate remedy for a President who thinks he is a king.

4. I dunno.
Should we, the people, consider the elected federal government legitimate anymore?
