there is a poll about flag burning. and there are like two people who are ranting about the "threat of flag burning."

http://forums.ledgerenquirer.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=kr-LEOgennews&msg=1352.1

budd:
Anybody that burns the flag is not expressing free speech, they are spitting in the face of all Americans. There should be a law against it, and the penalty should be life in prison.

Themind:
The flag is a symbol of freedom. People burn the flag for different reasons. Some people in other countries burn the flag because they hate the United States, the current President and his policies.
Some feel that his policies do not represent, what the flag stands for... freedom.

Even in the US, some Americans burn the flag because they feel that some of their freedom have been restricted, misrepresented and in some cases taken away, so they burn the flag to show their strong belief that the country is heading toward communism instead of freedom, so their freedom have been destroy or tarnish.

This is what make the United States free.... (FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION AND SPEECH).

6. You found it!
Very provocative, I must say.

But will they identify more with the symbolism of the US flag or the allure of the swastika, emblem of all they hold dear (racism, dictatorial power, church rule, etc.)?

5. And I'm real curious how the fuckwipes will define "flag"
if they could ever get the chance to write their ignorant little law.

Good luck on that, fuckers. Let's see you go to prison for putting that Fourth of July US Flag paper plate and paper napkin in the burn barrel; or let's watch you do time when you wear a US Flag bandanna and drop it on the ground picking up your Copenhagen or the can of Bud you tipped over; hell, I'd love to see you do time in the stocks in the public square for riding around with that half-ripped, filthy Chinese-made US Flag on your Hummer; or how about that US Flag decal you scraped off your truck and threw away before you sold it? What about those fireworks you set off after drinking your 18th Pabst on July 2 or 3 or June 27 or whatever goddamn drunken day it is; the fireworks with the US Flag printed on the side.

Yeah, I really want to see the fucktards define "US Flag" for the Constitution.

7. Tell him I promise I will burn one in his dis-honor.
Yes, I am going to burn a flag, just because of what he said. :)

If my camera is working, I will phorograph it and post it.

9. here was my reply
flag burning is such a none issue. as someone said there has been less than 5 cases of flag burning since 2000 in the States.

We have far more serious issues here and the fine folks up in DC are bringing up these "non issues".

While I myself wouldn't burn a flag, I do see it as free speech. Which is protected by The Constitution.

What I don't see is that people are so ready to burn the document that our founding fathers created, the docuemnt that guarantees our freedoms, the document that our soliders were sworn to protect, etc: to protect a piece of cloth that can be bought at wal-mart for 19.99 and is most likely been made in China. (as is most stuff that is sold at wallyworld).

I'm sure he will just bite back with his usual "you liberals" blah blah blah

11. And when he bites back, remind him that I will burn yet another in his
name, whatever it is. I have a whole bunch of small ones from childhood, and a few large ones. I don't need them and don't want them anymore because of assholes like him.

Cowards like that jerk have RUINED this country and the flag is now meaningless. Maybe it will, one day, stand for freedom, but until then it will serve another purpose: protesting against the un-Constitutional restrictions of our freedoms imposed by the treasonous bastards who have taken over our country.

He must not let them touch the icing nor the ground nor trash can. He must take them home with him and design tiny flag poles for each one, complete with protection from the weather and lighting at night.

16. "is heading toward communism instead of freedom"
The opposite of freedom is communism?

I thought it was like fascism or neoconservatism.
