Scarborough says that Bush's poll numbers are up (and other fantasies)
I noticed that the blurb about the Scarborough Show (which our own Ava will be on) says that part of the discussion will be on Bush's upturn in the polls and if it will last. Didn't CBS come out with a poll yesterday stating that the chimp actually went down two points? from 35% to 33%. Of course Gallup has him at 38% a 2-point hike from their last poll. So I guess they just pick the poll which suits their purposes.

Also I heard some talking head and I'm not sure who say that the Republicans want to push Bush's approval rating up to 40% or more to protect the Republican majority because if it's under 40% it could lead to disaster. Hmm, It used to be that if a president was under 50% their party would be in trouble.

But as usual they rewrite the rules for their pin-up boy (now theirs a Nixonian term) Bush.

1. Yes. I saw the CBS poll...
NO MORE RE-WRITING THE RULES! Funny how the CBS poll isn't mentioned...

2. Perhaps under 40 means stealing elections isn't possible?

3. Of course they went up
Did you really expect something different? Presidents ratings always go up on news like this.

The point is the uptick is shallow and won't last unless he can kill Zarqawi every week or so. :)
