One of the most "democratic" places in the country......

To be fair I think the station is actually located in Virginia, maybe that explains something. *shrug*

6. The position of many African Americans on this issue is mind-boggling.

3. i voted. if you want my opinion for what it's worth i can't see why
we need an amendment. if gays want to marry, i say let them. let them join the rest of us when they want a divorce. lol

no really, if they marry it's not going to hurt anyone. one republican asshole the other day -- can't remember his name said that gays getting married would be worse for our country than the war on terror and iraq. of course, i had to scream at the tv.

even my 83 year old mom says if they want to marry let them.

i know some gay couples that have been together for 20-25 years.

Because this poll makes no sense. Make sure you kick this in the morning, when more can vote on it.

9. What we need is an ammendment declaring that access to
health care is a human right and recognizing the obligation of our government to see that it will be delivered, like all the other "first world" countries of our planet have done already.

This "marriage ammendment" is a mockery of our Constitution and very disrespectful of it.

10. No, I don't think scapegoat amendments are necessary.
The first time this was seriously discussed was during the last election. After that was over with, the "issue" sort of went away and wasn't discussed ... Until another problematic election arrived. That's right, folks - this year's elections!
