Lewis Black on HBO... anyone watch it?
I saw most of it... some funny spots, but he does not hold well for more than a minute, IMHO.

1. I love Lewis Black. I watched it. Wasn't quite as funny as the first HBO
special, but then he took bush** to task head on this time, and for me that's even better.

3. I loved it
He was a little rough on Kerry but I think he was trying to get the Democrats fired up to fight for the country. We have to get candidates to rid themselves of the damn consultants. They turn good candidates into milk toast.

4. I thought it was great. Highly recommended.
I would comment on some of the funnier parts, but no spoilers this time. Seems I screwed the pooch for somebody talking about a Sopranos episode.

5. I think he is just too damn angry to be able to keep up the light and
humorous banter about certain things.
All in all, I found it to be pretty funny. He is great.
He and George Carlin are my two favorite standups.

9. How about David Cross?
He's angry and incredibly funny.

I like Lewis Black a lot; Cross is very political and very funny

7. Sometimes he is funny, often he is not. DU's requirement...
that people here must like everything said if it is comedy..is too much.

Lordy, I remember saying something about Jon Stewart not being funny one night.....I was horribly attacked and so was anyone who tried to agree with me.

Lewis Black is sometimes funny, and he is sometimes not funny.

He said some very uncalled for things about Kerry tonight, and one night he absolutely was ruthless about Dean...way overboard.

People here need to realize that all people do not find everything funny just because they said it is comedy.

For him to compare Kerry to Bush, which is ridiculous, or to say Dean was on his knees and not praying....is. not. funny to a lot of us.

8. He does the "required" bashing of Democrats which means build a FAUX JOKE
where there is none.

It's a poor device that some comics will latch on to just as journalists stretch to make both parties are guilty arguments.

Black just proved he knows NOTHING about who Kerry is - and I blame alot of left journos for that.

For some reason they can't get their wee brains wrapped around FACTS, so they use their uninformed opinions in PLACE of hard facts. It seems to happen to Dean and Kerry more than any other two Democrats.

10. Saw the second half
It didn't seem too funny to me. Not nearly as funny as the other HBO special of his I had seen. And he ended with a bit I've seen before (maybe on the Daily Show?). I was disappointed; maybe the first half is better.
