Drugs demand is constant, and supply is merely finding its natural bottom when medicine, pharmaceuticals and drugs are controlled by a corporate monopoly that abuses its position against the poor.
Drugs supply corrupts all government and police efforts, whilst dumping huge external costs on the public, both by taking away those who's goodwill, both economic and personal, is divorced from the society, and by costing billions in prison and police systems, as well as the invasive laws that permit searches, seizures and prison slavery.
Then the corrupt and failing governments south of the border are suffering for the rule of law, and a just court and police system, all denied by the drugs war. So more and more people come to work in the drugs war supply chain, as that is the only busienss left standing after the corruption rolls through. Then the regular people move north to get real jobs after they are denied a state by the north's drugs tomfoolery.
And it all beings with the lie that americans are not serious addicts, addicts of every drug on the planet from cannabis to mass killing. If a thrill can be derived from somthing, americans are involved, injecting the thrill, skiing off cliffs in extreme skiing, extreme wave riding, drink, TV, sex, hate, violence, football, basketball, hockey, studying, being the smartest, smoking pot, and the ultimate drug, cable TV... all a nation of addicts is that proverbial demand. It is the demand that is killing the wages, and bringing the immigrants indeed, but a different demand than this article suggests. It is the demand in people to run away from the aweful slavery lives they are living, and their junkie-drive to pay and steal whatever cost to have their run-away-fix.
So, yes, immigration is about supply and demand, about racist laws that were outdated when they were made, laws that are destroying the entirity of north american society and reducing it to a corrupt ungovernable chaotic entity. Americans don't play russian roulette with only 1 bullet, no, we fill all the chambers knowing we'll get our fix if it kills us.
