To understand 2006, look at 2002 Conservative Political Action Conference
http://www.pfaw.org/pfaw/general/default.aspx?oid=1626

First, just to kick this off, is the scariest, scariest Ann Coulter quote I have ever seen:

In perhaps her most outrageous comment of the conference and to a standing ovation, Coulter added: "In contemplating college liberals, you really regret, once again, that John Walker is not getting the death penalty. We need to execute people like John Walker in order to physically intimidate liberals by making them realize that they could be killed, too. Otherwise they will turn out into outright traitors. On the bright side, and in conclusion, at least college campuses serve as sort of internment camp for useless leftists in wartime. We know where they are, this way. And, as General Patton said, ‘I love it when they come out and shoot at me because then I know where they are and I can shoot the bastards.’"

Other highlights: Check out the commentary from Katherine Harris regarding Gore, Chris Mathews, Grover Norquist and so many many others, who still populate our daily discourse today.

2. I wonder if she actually believes that...
...or if she's just saying outrageous things to keep in the camera's eye.

3. Who cares what her motivation is in saying it - the audiance response
a "standing ovation"? That is the far scarier part.

6. Anyone who doesn't toss their cookies when reading Kellyanne Conways
4 M’s on how to recruit women into the Republican Party: "marriage, mortgage, munchkins, and mutual funds." is stronger than me. Hmmm, so I guess married woman who have children and own homes and who have mutual funds are the ones the Republicans want. Kind of describes the whole "soccer mom" mantra. I guess they don't care about lower income divorced women who live in apartments, kids or no.

5. Remember the Pig-boy (Rush) when he said -
"We ought to make sure we leave some liberals alive, this way we can point to them later on and show our children what sub-humans they were"

The other night I'm driving to work and I hear that hate monger Savage screaming about how "Murtha is a traitor and he should shut up" and then "They're lucky I don't have more power, I'd wipe them all out, every one of them would get what they deserve"

Come see me Dr. Savage and I'll introduce you to the business end of a 12 gage.
This liberal don't play that.

Fuck Coulter, that no talent bitch needs to just go away.

7. Come to think of it, why was Tweety even AT the CPAC?
The line up as I look at it is ALL solidly conservative right wing. The only other media person was the Fox guy and that's no surprise. This explains a lot - Mathews' obsession over gay marriage, etc. He should just come out of the closet as the right wing shill he is.
