Who owns Clear Channel?
Why aren't there anymore real radio shows? Everything's satellite feed, no DJ's. Clear Channel has a definate right wing bent, with Rush but not Al or Ed. WTF?

in...they ditched locally-based DJs for a handful hourly, part-time workers to do the voice work...what more do you need to ask?

Anyhow...this article has ownership details, what they control, who they control, and some interesting links to sites writing about ClearChannel:

5. turn off your radio,
Then go to your local electronics store and buy satellite radio and you can live in an adult world once more. It's about a $200-$300 investment and $13 a month. Once you've done it, you'll remember how entertaining radio can be.

6. No DJ's? My son is a ClearChannel DJ in S. Illinois.
also the rock station's program director.

On the occasions that I have forced myself to suffer to listen to 15-20 minutes of his 4 hour show I can honestly say there is very much less talk than I used to hear on WLS in the 60's. However, like most stations WTAO has a web-site and it is loaded up with all sorts of appealing raunchy crap for rockers.
