I was kinda unclear (Skeletor's ramblings will do that to ya) - was he saying WE shot the plane down, or was he making some clumsy reference to the hijackers?

Confusing.

EDIT: watched it again, he said "people who attacked the United States, shot down the plane and attacked the Pentagon" - he doesn't make it sound like the USG did that, but that terrorists did (which is dumb, since if it was shot down it clearly had to be by our military, as there were no 'al Qaeda F-14s' in the air).

He was not specific, but I think the implication was that the people who attacked the WTC & Pentagon were the same people who shot down the plane.

Either way, on the day of the event, NY1's Roma Torre reported that the plane was shot down, and then was told to retract that.
