6. I may be wrong, but I think you can renew expired star at any time.

Not just during a pledge drive (Admins? Mods?). My donations are often made during the lulls between the pledge drives. I'll kick in during a pledge drive too, if it looks like the goal might not be reached. Also, I give a little each month to keep the star shiny and bright. Know whut I mean?
