What's that sound? Bushbots heads exploding?
Received two email messages from Newsmax within 14 minutes of each other. Here is part of the first:

RNC's Mehlman Warns of $3.75 Gas with Democrats

A Democratic-controlled Congress would boost gasoline prices even more though over-regulation and cost the average American family nearly $1,000 more a year, the Republican National Committee warns.

And here is some of the second:

Saudi Arabia's oil minister warned Arab producers Sunday not to expect continued growth in prices and demand for oil.

Ali al-Naimi said prices could plummet if an economic crisis drives industrialized nations to find other sources of energy, citing the 1980s - when oil prices dropped by 80 percent after such nations reduced their dependency on oil and turned to alternative energy sources.

What's a poor bushbot to do? This old world is just so confusing. If only Ronald Reagan were still around to sort things out for us. ::sigh::

 :silly:

2. I'm surprised the second item didn't mention the Saudis
warning that gas WILL cost more under a Democratic Congress (wouldn't put it past the 'Bots to twist some Saudi arms and make sure they issue DIRE predictions).

3. If only their heads would explode for real.
Then, we might be able to save this world. As long as they are around, there is little chance to undo the damage.

4. I meant to include this fronm the second message:
This is the pitch of the financial services they are shoveling:

"Our track record on oil is impressive. In April 2004, Financial Intelligence Report predicted that oil prices would skyrocket from $29 per barrel to over $60 within 12 months. That forecast was dead on. Today we feel that oil prices will continue to dramatically fall in the next 12 months to as low as $40 a barrel!"

5. Remind anybody who spouts this crap to you
that the Republicans were screaming about the "Clinton/Gore" high gas prices when they were at $1.30/gallon . . . and that the Republicans said that Clinton's 1993 budget would bankrupt this country . . . and that no Republican voted for it . . .
