The new Repub meme...
I can't believe this dumbshit wrote this LTTE. He points out all the areas where Dumbya has fucked up the situation, and then sarcastically suggests that the next (Dem) president should somehow solve all the screwups.

They're hoping a Dem wins... then they can blame everything on him/her.... and Clinton, of course.

Our future ex-godsend (bolding mine)

The election of 2008 is only two short years away. The president's popularity is at an all-time low <" Bush hits new lows in latest poll ," News, May 17>, and I have no doubt that we will see a change in the leadership of this country then.

I voted for Mr. Bush in the last two elections and would vote for him again, if he could in fact run. However, the things that I am looking forward to with the new Democratic president are as follows:

We will be out of the war in Iraq; gasoline prices will drop back down to a $1.25 gallon. Taxes will decrease. The borders will open wide for all to enter at their own will to fill all of the jobs that Americans are unwilling to do. Mass transit will eliminate all of the congestion on our highways. We will find Osama bin Laden. The whole world will love us and want to emulate all that we say and do. Health care will become affordable to every person in this country at the government's expense. There will be no violence, as all the guns will be in safer hands. Anyone can marry anyone. The beautiful people in Hollywood will spend their millions to help the world instead of using their fame to pull it apart. All Americans — and the rest of the world, for that matter — will walk hand in hand and will be happy.

I can't wait for the next administration to take office and achieve all these goals. I know that they will, as they are certainly very vocal as to the fact of everything President Bush is doing wrong. If in fact the Democrats have all of the answers, I will be the first to congratulate them.

In other words, a Democrat.

3. They secretly want the Dems to win because they know we will
clean up their mess, as we always do. And Dog knows they have made a mess of things. Gas a $1.25 a gallon? They wish. And I thought the war in Iraq was "over"? Delusion is a republican thing.

6. Isn't it sad that Gas for 1.35 a gallon seems impossible, even laughable
now?

But, in all honesty, there is no reason it should be any more than $1.50.

All of the reasons I have heard for it going up are Bush's doing.

5. The first step to acheiving those goals is to actually try
and BushCo doesn't even seem interested in even discussing any of those.

7. And if that Democratic gov't *does* fix all that- this moron will say
Edited on Thu May-18-06 08:17 PM by Marr
"these things are cyclical- the government has little to no influence".

Then he/she will dutifully vote Republican again because hey- we need a government that can fix things!

8. He is right and doesn't even realize it
Iraq- I sure hope we're out before then, but if not there is probably nothing our presence there could accomplish anyway. A Dem. will realize this and bring 'em home.
Taxes- sorry bub, but they couldn't possibly be any lower than they are now (as least for those poor millionaires)
Traffic congestion? Since when are long commutes an important issue? (I know, fossil fuels)
Osama- we might have him now if our troops weren't busy elsewhere, douche.
America's image- no they won't love us, they just won't hate us and wonder why we voted for a man-child
Health Care is available for everyone- just what do you have against Americans having health care, guy? What would Jesus want?
Anyone can Marry Anyone- what a novel concept! How would you feel if someone had told you that you couldn't marry your current spouse?
Hollywood- Gee, who was that actor who lived in that big White House out east?
Don't look for an instant fix to anything, but this country has rejected the Rethug non-agenda. Sorry pal, you blew it.
