FReepers ask hate mail to be sent today to my state. Will you counter?

An article by the Triangle Foundation in today's Midland (MI) Daily News has elicited national FReeper attention. They ask for hateful emails to be sent to the Foundation, and give the email address. FReepers say write the "sodomites" at [email protected]. I don't want that message in my state to go unchallenged by the good people at DU, and the people at the Triangle Foundation to walk into work Monday to messages of hate. Today is a good day to let gay and lesbian parents in Midland (and everywhere else, of course) know that whatever their gender, if they love and care for their kids, Happy Mother's Day.

I am likely leaving Michigan soon for work (again), but there is a strange magnetism to this state that others know about in Florida, Arizona, South Carolina et al. You may leave Michigan; it never leaves you. All you need to do is stand high above Lake Michigan on a sand dune at sunset and take a deep breath of freshwater lake air, and you will know it. Or sail on Lake Huron near the countless islands, or walk through a cedar/pine forest near Alpena, or shop in Fishtown in Leland, or backpack and get your first glance of Lake of the Clouds, or spend time at Greenfield Village, or catch lake trout off St. Clair Shores, or dinner at the Grand Hotel, or dinner in Greektown then a Wings game - Nah. Nothing happening here. You can move on now (Come visit).
