assume that Bush is spying on us to fight terror? What evidence is there that this is true? Just because Bush and the MSM says makes it true? NO WAY! It is obvious that they are spying not for pure reasons because if they were they would go to the FISA court after they spie which the law allows. The presumption has to be they are hiding something. I am sick of the MSM!

Lapdogs by Eric Boehlert takes a look at how the press has covered Bush, the pressure on them from the corporate weasels and the RW noise machine and goes into a lot of detail.

It's a great read.

The short answer to your question is that they have been intimidated by their corporate bosses who lean right and by the electronic lynch mob lead by Malkin, Coulter, Freep et al into repeating the RW talking points without really looking at them, because they don't want to get in trouble.

Without the internet, there would be very little real news coverage in this country.
