NSA Database and No-Fly List. Connection?

I was just thinking. We've all heard stories about people who have mysteriously turned up on the no-fly list and were not given any explanation of how they ended up on the list. Do you think it's likely that the NSA database of phone-calls AND EMAILS might have something to do with this? I suspect most of us "do our politics" via email far more than we do it over the telephone. Do you think I'm being paranoid in presuming that the NSA are culling keywords from emails? After all, it's far simpler and less processor-intensive to scan a bunch of text than it is to do automatic speech recognition. They wouldn't even need anything as sophisticated as the reputed Echelon and Carnivore systems. Might the mysterious no-fly status be explained by having exceeded a critical mass of "subversive" emails? And might the secrecy of the now-exposed NSA program explain why DOHS refused to explain how/why people ended up with no-fly status?

1. You're not paranoid

I don't know if this is correct, what you're surmising, but there's no such thing as paranoia anymore. There should be no fear of speculation of the sort you're talking about, because these people will do anything. Anything. The Constitution is less than toilet paper to them.

That's about the most accurate and succinct summary of the severity of corruption in our government I've heard yet. That's what I'd use for a bumper sticker. Without question, it's dead on.
