Unreal! Wolf (VA, R-Clueless). One the floor of the House
demanding that * do what FDR would have done--call the oil execs into the Oval Office to demand answers on oil prices. He spent a significant amount of time descrying legislative changes which have given the oil industry free rein and the lack of regulation of the securities people over trading oil futures. That was astounding! The only thing I could think of was that, as an R, he probably had a lot to do with the legislative issues and he sure hasn't felt the need to be vocal on behalf of "citizens" until prices got high enough for the poll numbers to drop.

2. Blah blah blah blah blah
blah BLAH......you said it, it never really has mattered until poll numbers are to the point where they fear their own demise. It's like watching someone chewing their arm off...

3. Frank Wolf
No one has come close to beating Frank Wolf. If elected in November it will be his 14th term in congress. He just runs a quiet campaign. What may hurt him this fall is the fact that his district has undergone a major shift from a urban/rural area to primarily a urban area. This district voted overwhelmingly for Tim Kaine in the Governors race last fall and then we had a special election to relace a Virginia House of Delegate seat that had been held by republicans for years and the Republican candidate got beat 66-34. I have not seen any campaign info from the Democratic challenger which leads me to believe that the Dem's are not trying to unseat him.
