and there is less chance for them to make ends meet with heating bills rising faster than their meager paychecks can cover.

Does CNN want to talk about THAT?

Add your reasons WHY women are crying tonight.

I'm sure there is lots of pain going around in poor and low income households.
Right after Katrina the media felt a tinge of guilt about not covering the dept of poverty in the country.
Well that didn't last. It's back to business as usual.

What poor? What hungry? What freezing?

14. Women are crying because
they have to choose between birth control and food for their kids. There are women crying because the U.S. has allowed a fundamentalist Islamic regime to take control of both Afghanistan and Iraq. There are women crying because their sons are coming home from Iraq in bodybags via Federal Express. There are old women crying because the new prescription drug Medicare policy has left them financially short and hopelessly confused.

woman-folk.

Seems a little thin skinned to have a husband on the highest court in the land. Must be hell though to see your dipshit, racist, keep your woman barefoot and pregnant hubby exposed for all to see.

Cindy Sheehan cries over her lost son and she's labeled a traitor who is using her son's death to enrich herself. Mrs Alito cries because the truth is coming out about her husband, and it's labeled a passionate response to those mean old Democrats

After all these years of attempting to assert the basic human dignity of having the final say-so over our bodies, it is being taken away.

Edited on Wed Jan-11-06 09:38 PM by Nictuku
No, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry.

Said - said - said: I remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in trenchtown,
Oba - obaserving the ’ypocrites
As they would mingle with the good people we meet.
Good friends we have, oh, good friends we’ve lost
Along the way.
In this great future, you can’t forget your past;
So dry your tears, I seh.

No, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry.
’ere, little darlin’, don’t shed no tears:
No, woman, no cry.

Said - said - said: I remember when-a we used to sit
In the government yard in trenchtown.
And then georgie would make the fire lights,
As it was logwood burnin’ through the nights.
Then we would cook cornmeal porridge,
Of which I’ll share with you;
My feet is my only carriage,
So I’ve got to push on through.
But while I’m gone, I mean:
Everything’s gonna be all right!
Everything’s gonna be all right!
Everything’s gonna be all right!
Everything’s gonna be all right!
I said, everything’s gonna be all right-a!
Everything’s gonna be all right!
Everything’s gonna be all right, now!
Everything’s gonna be all right!

So, woman, no cry;
No - no, woman - woman, no cry.
Woman, little sister, don’t shed no tears;
No, woman, no cry.

I remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in trenchtown.
And then georgie would make the fire lights,
As it was logwood burnin’ through the nights.
Then we would cook cornmeal porridge,
Of which I’ll share with you;
My feet is my only carriage,
So I’ve got to push on through.
But while I’m gone:

No, woman, no cry;
No, woman, no cry.
Woman, little darlin’, say don’t shed no tears;
No, woman, no cry.

Eh! (little darlin’, don’t shed no tears!
No, woman, no cry.
Little sister, don’t shed no tears!
No, woman, no cry.)

32. Because their taxes went for bombs.
This administration is a war administration. War is not for the people. It's for the corporations. American women are seeing the fruits of their labor wasted on Bush's machines of terror.

And then their are the children of the world who are being ignored, and who are in even worse shape. They're dying. And we didn't stop their pain. We let Bush build his bombs. His ammunition buddies are making money off of our taxes.

I believe there is a hell. Life on earth can be hell for those who are suffering. But life after death is another thing.

I'm tired.

their husbands are no more than sitting ducks in the midst of the chaos in Iraq that ** created for power and $$$$$

Women are crying tonight because they see the country billed "a land of opportunity" is now no more than a land run by opportunists.

Women are crying tonight because they are homeless, alone, jobless, exhausted, cold and hungry.

Mrs. Alito's crocodile tears made me laugh with derision. She hasn't the slightest regard for anyone but the rich and powerful. Why should even the first ONE of us have a twinge of regard for her?

She will go on to live a life of security and luxury, with healthcare and maids and chauffers, while the victims her husband ignores and creates
cry all over the world.

37. They're crying because they have to work at minimum-wage service jobs
Perhaps two of them, just to make ends meet. And despite all of that work they can barely afford an adequate apartment for themselves and their children, fuel to heat it, electricity for lights and appliances, and a telephone.

They don't see enough of their children because they work so much, but if they didn't work so much they would starve on the streets. It is a catch-22.

Then they go to their jobs and get treated like human trash by the supervisors, and by the customers who consider them dirt beneath their feet. Apparently just because people work for minimum-wage (which the Republicans continually refuse to raise) they aren't worthy of human kindness. After eight or more hours on their feet they want nothing more than to go home and collapse. However they have their families to attend to, so they muster all the strength they have, put on a happy face and save their tears for bedtime.

Women are crying because on Monday, the condom her husband wore broke. When she went to get her prescription for the morning after pill filled, she received a degrading lecture from the male pharmacist. After he was done telling her that she will burn in hell, he refused to fill her prescription and there isn't another pharmacy near her home.
