They thought we'd back down, you know.
They thought patriots would just cower from their intimidation.

They thought they had total control.

They thought they'd just scare and throw gluey stigmas of "traitor" and "terrorist-sympathizer," and drag out senile bats like zell miller and tie it all to 9*11, and we'd just go away.

They thought they had capital.

They thought the fight was over.

They thought they had won. "Accountability moment" over.

And as much as corp media tried to obscure and mislead, and with all that they did to keep a lid on things - its coming apart.

There is no political capital left for gw.

The people of this nation clearly want something else. We might have all mourned at the 9*11 funeral, but the loudspeaker stunt has only so long a shelf life. The people of this nation are not happy with w, and I don't think even a red alert/osama caught/free gas scheme would change many minds.

When 04 was "decided" and talk of capital and permanent minority status was all the buzz, I feared for what was to happen next. But Pelosi and Reid and Conyers and Boxer and Feingold and Dean and so many others came on stronger - like they were saying, "we're not going to go away and shut up" We, as a party, came back, despite some caves, pretty quickly. We didn't cower.

It all boils down to one word, even the rightest of the wacko right would understand and agree with - accountability.

That's what it has to be about. We, Dems, need to be about. Accountability.

3. Nothing Newt says is worth a lump of mouse crap.
You're creative. Look at your username. Come up with a better slogan.

2. Yes, but
so many of the 25% of people in the US who both pay attention and are liberals want to make nice. They refuse to understand that the conservative 25% really do view it as a war and act/think/feel accordingly.
