I just called John Kerry's office

My concern is that he wouldn't be back for the Alito vote, they assured me he would. I asked how he was going to vote (I know he will vote against) they said he hasn't made that public yet.
Kerry isn't the type the ever miss such an important vote, by calling my feeling have been validated.

I was not really worried as the Senate reconvenes next Wednesday and they need a few days for the floor debate, so it was very doubtful that the vote would take place before the 23rd. I cannot imagine Kerry absent for such a vote (though if there is a filibuster, it is less important as only the YES votes count).
