Why is * and the Republicans trying to decimate the Hispanic vote?
Given their regressive stands on immigration and speaking the English language, it would seem to me that they are actively pissing off Hispanic voters.

Why? Do they actually *want* to lose Congress?

3. They think it will excite white racists
Who might otherwise vote their pocketbooks (i.e., for Democrats).

4. Latinos were a luxury...
Chmpy could afford to expend some political capital courting them, and have the inherently racist white protestant southerner base not protest, because he promised to build the Repugs into a permanent majority party. Now that that myth is shattered, he can't afford to pretend to be inclusive or tolerant any longer. Hispanic have been sacrificed at the altar of political desperation. I can only hope that Latino voters have finally recognized that they were duped in 2004.

6. Um, Bush did no better with Latinos in 2004 than he did in 2000.
That Republican claim has been debunked. Too bad, not before we bought it hook, line and sinker.

5. Yes
There is no way in hell I could ever vote Republican. I hope other Hispanics get the message: they don't care about you and never have.
