(Frankie Hejduk suffered a torn ACL a day after the roster was announced. He'll be replaced on the roster by Chris AlBright)

This roster is more or less what was expected, except for two things: 1) Gregg Bernhalter, 2002 WC alumnus, was left off; 2) Taylor Twellman, MLS' 2005 leading scorer and MVP, was passed over in favor of Brian Ching, a decision that has confused a lot of US soccer fans.
