What did you guys think of the speech?
"Bawdy humor" made my jaw drop.

"Yes, I heard Wright" means that there's video of Obama out there. Didn't
he say that he'd never heard Wright say these things?

Did he just throw his white grandma under the bus?

Overall, I felt like Obama tried to make me feel guilty for doubting his perfection
as a candidate.

Also, he looked like he didn't want to be there today.

Sorry, I just feel like he's trying to be all things to all people.

And that makes me suspicious.

1. I was stunned that electing him will "perfect" our Union.
Staggering arrogance. He is Jesus.

2. I will have to catch it on You Tube tonight.
The opinions of Obamatrons is useless as they are all brought to tears every time he opens his mouth it seems. Do these people do anything besides cry and bash Hillary supporters?

3. A rhetoric filled CYA speech.
Romney's campaign began
to die after his well recieved
speech on his religion.

In my opinion, this speech will
hurt Obama. America will not elect
a president that will make any bad
reflection upon him a race issue.
Believe it or not, most people want
to move beyond that, other than the
agitators and the shit-stirrers who
thrive on uproar.

It was a good speech, not great. His
delivery was suffering IMO. His sense
of entitlement and arrogance were quite
visible. He came across as if he were
'owed' the nomination.

8. I thought he/it was flat.
It was not inspiring. Frankly, it was a sermon but not a well delivered sermon.

This is supposed to be a political campaign but he has no transformational policy comments. We are to believe that just electing him is enough to fix everything that is wrong with America, particularly black America.

He does not have an agenda for the country except to elect him President for the single purpose of electing him President.

5. The only transcript I've seen
is from Drudge. In my own defense: I didn't go there except after I went to HillarysVoice (the Yahoo group) and it was posted there.

9. Thanks...read it
Hard to tell...his words always look good on paper. But of course he had to sneak Ferraro in there.

10. OMG. Here is the link to it, and what I think.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/03/18/obama.transcript/index.html

I think he should've kept his mouth shut. He's solidified support within some parts of the African-American community, and has alienated a good many other people. He was grandiose. Incredibly! WOW. I would've expected better, considering his prior speeches.

He is essentially saying if Rev. Wright bothers you, you are ignorant and racist. Which is quite a spin. The man said, "God Damn America," not--oh geez, we have a race problem in America. And then we have OJ: "a spectacle." I dunno, Barack, I saw the OJ case as being about the bloody murder of a woman and her boyfriend on their front doorstep. I took that VERY seriously.

And then, he draws in all the young activists working for him "I'm hear because of Ashley."

Bleck. I'm appalled by the speech. I think it's going to backfire against him.

11. Have you ever heard the term...
people pleaser? That's what he is. He's a chameleon trying to be all things to all people and in doing so has lost his soul.
