Well, I guess that lets Darth off the hook -- on both counts.

You know, I like the tie and the shirt
and the suit would be okay without the stripe, but the gangster stripe and the tie -- not so much.

The whole picture is bad on my TV (we're having a storm), but the stripe on the suit is too much.

Hey, it's a dark suit and a blue shirt. I can live with that.
(despite the tie malfunction.... you know last year's tie would be delicious with this outfit.) :hi:

It's a LOVELY yellow tie! And I think this is actually a NICE suit combo. The blue and yellow are a good contrast.

I don't want to speak too soon about how long KO will stay around...but am I right or not about him not being in Pittsburgh tonight? He wasn't in Detroit last year--why should he be in Pittsburgh tonight?

when he does the Dan Patrick Show from there, and I think they make it with wheat! (He and Dan have joked that they always seem to order the penne.)

Maybe KO's celiac is mild enough that pasta doesn't really do a number on him like it might on some.

I love me a man who can appreciate a good pasta. :loveya:

mild form of the disease. Perhaps he's fortunate enough that he can occasionally ingest wheat products. I can eat most of the foods the allergist told me to avoid years ago, as long as I only eat one of them at a time. More than one, bad news.

49. I think the rest of DU went ballistic before any of us had a chance
to really quiet them down.

I can't blame them (as I said last night) for being anxious because yesterday was the same day a lot of other things changed on MSNBC, so when KO did his hit-and-run, their first thought was that he was getting pushed off the show.

You know how it is for poor Keith: he can't go on vacation without some people assuming he's either been fired or suspended.

Well, now he knows he can't even cut out in the middle of the show without some people assuming he's getting pushed out.

In the end, all it did was create such a ruckus over at MSNBC that they have once again been reminded that they better not mess with Keith. Which, all in all, is not a bad thing for them to be reminded of. Especially now.

64. I do, I do watch the shopping channels
It's a fascinating study in humanity in the same way the call-ins on C-SPAN are.

Sometimes I leave them on for an hour or more. It's amazing that the people have to sit there and sell this stuff, in three minute increments mostly, and listening to them try and do it is pretty funny. Then you have the characters who come on to sell their stuff, the callers who have "the entire collection of brooches" and it's a riot.

It doesn't surprise me that this guy called the moth a horse. They end up rambing sometimes and they make no sense. LOL

114. Here's the quote from the article
Lately Mr. O’Reilly has resisted giving Mr. Olbermann the satisfaction of more attention. Mr. O’Reilly was on vacation last week, so Fox responded through Irina Briganti, the spokeswoman for the channel. Her comments, matched with Mr. Olbermann’s biting remarks, reflected how corrosive the byplay has become.

“Because of his personal demons, Keith has imploded everywhere he’s worked,” Ms. Briganti said. “From lashing out at co-workers to personally attacking Bill O’Reilly and all things Fox, it’s obvious Keith is a train wreck waiting to happen. And like all train wrecks, people might tune in out of morbid curiosity, but they eventually tune out, as evidenced by Keith’s recent ratings decline. In the meantime, we hope he enjoys his paranoid view from the bottom of the ratings ladder and wish him well on his inevitable trip to oblivion.”
