It was hotter than you-know-what here. I walked in a parade with Nancy Skinner on Monday and I was totally melted. Then we grilled for dinner, just hubby, daughter and me.

and I was distracted by Tom's hair. I don't know. It seemed to make sense to the husband, who hasn't read it, but I thought they didn't explain enough to make it interesting enough as a stand alone thriller. Ian McKellan was great, as usual. But Tom's hair was awful.

My daughter and I had both read it and hubby started it, but hasn't finished it yet. We thought it was pretty true to the book.

It was certainly way better than the critics are all making it out to be.

I don't know what to tell you. I thought that a lot of the stuff that made it interesting for me, all the Leonardo facts in the beginning and the trying to solve the puzzles were missing. They did an alright job of portraying the historical references, but I don't know. It felt passionless and I didn't get the same page-turner feeling. Even though it wasn't the best-written book, I enjoyed it more.
