20. It's waaaaaaay too much of a coincidence, don't ya think?

NOTE: I had to photoshop the tie, because the suit ONLY came in black with a plain grey tie, so I enlarged it and added navy stripes... plus, I darkened the glasses on the sides. There's a limit on what you can do. But I'm gonna try to add to it and make the Boss Hijack suit. :)

back before this thing proved to be a stone dumb idea, there were people out there accusing anybody who stopped to ask a few questions of being damn near treasonous. Now, even people who were acting as if Bush was the next Lincoln or Washington 3 years ago are fleeing from the guy like he had the plague.

57. Send me your email if you want the document.
I don't seem to have your email addy anymore. Here's the text:

A RESOLUTION
IN SUPPORT OF H.R.2239 AND S.1980
WHEREAS the Help America Vote Act of 2002 began a rush by states to purchase new voting technology, and
WHEREAS computer-based systems are subject to errors, breakdowns, and design flaws; computer based systems inherently cannot be secured to the extent required to protect voting integrity; and source code may not be available for public inspection, and
WHEREAS this new voting technology provides no assurance that the voter's vote was recorded as the voter intended, and no means for conducting a meaningful recount of the ballots, and
WHEREAS there is technology available that is fully accessible to individuals with disabilities and also allows voters to verify their paper ballots before they are cast, and
WHEREAS electronic voting machines have proven to be unreliable, since in recent months voters in Fairfax County, VA, Broward County, FL, and elsewhere have had their votes changed on electronic voting machines or not had their votes counted at all on new voting technology, and these problems have resulted in a lawsuit due to the lack of ability to do recounts/audits; and
WHEREAS there are bills in both houses of the United States Congress that will address these problems.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
That the ____________ _______endorses the passage of H.R.2239 and S.1980; The Voter Confidence and Increased Accessibility Act of 2003.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT:
Voting systems in Texas be prohibited for purchase by the State and its Counties unless they -
• Incorporate a voter verified physical ballot, deposited at the polling place in a secure ballot box or delivered by the US Postal Service;
• Operate such that the voter is able to void a ballot and cast a new one;
• Maintain the anonymity of the voter; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT:
Elections systems management policies and rules be established in and for Texas and its counties that -
• Establish that physical ballots have precedence over electronic data as the true copy of voter intent for recounts when required by statute or if challenged: and
• Require random checks of the physical ballots against the computer system totals for system audit purposes.

37. Information that does match his agenda is tossed .....

Just like today

"I didn't want war." President * in answer to Helen Thomas

Straight up lie. In a 1998 or 1999 interview w/ the Houston Chronicle bush said that
unlike his dad that when he was President he would use his political capital wisely and
finish off Saddam.

Anybody have a link to that story?

In Bob Woodward's book on "Bush at War," bush, Rummy, Wolfie, and some others went to
the Pentagon situation room in 2001 (?) before he was sworn in and had an Iraqi war planning meeting.
I remember that because I could not finish the out takes of the book in the Washington Post's National
weekly after that.

And don't forget PNAC's mission statement and letters asking for an Iraqi war ..... How many of those
people wound up working in bush's white house, pentagon, and state dept?

Paul O'Neil wrote that he saw maps of Iraqi oil fields on Cheney's desk in March of 01.

so what I want to know is, why would a woman like that sleep with a 14 year old? She has to be pretty sick in the head, because, as most women know, it's not too tough to seduce any male, including us "of age" ones. Hell, most of the time a woman can just snap her fingers and have us guys wrapped up. Guys at least have to learn to be a little smooth anyway. :)

men are by nature horny and stupid, and I am cursed with the affliction of being male. So ya just never know...

Personally, I think Bob Schieffer looks much better sitting on the CBS news desk in a bikini. But that's just me! :)

85. if she *was* his first...
I've wondered if the real reason they aren't prosecuting this case is that the kid doesn't want to testify against her (not because of emotional trauma but because he doesn't feel like he's been... had). At this point in his life, he may not have negative feelings about what happened. I suppose it's possible that he'll never have negative feelings about what happened, but I'm guessing that eventually he'll realize it's creepy as hell for a teacher in her 20's to seduce a 14-year-old student. Interesting that in what we saw of that press conference she mentioned how difficult everything has been for her over and over again and mentioned her victim once. Yeah, honey, therapy's done a lot for you so far.

86. Oh she is nuts no doubt.
I kept thinking that being an attractive women society has basically let
her do what ever she wanted and because of that she has trouble stopping
her "I want it now urges" and the concept of delayed gratification means nothing
to her. BTW .... I highly doubt that she bipolar.

As for the young man .... he will be fine. At least I think ..... and if I know women
girls in High School will be all over him.

Edited on Wed Mar-22-06 12:18 PM by gkhouston
if teacher is a sex addict she might have given the boy more than sexual experience. Somebody who doesn't respect the adult/child boundaries may well be fucking anything she can get her hands on and probably isn't using condoms. She might be bipolar -- bipolars do tend to act out in their manic phases, and it can manifest as spending sprees, gambling, drinking, promiscuous sex, etc. -- but that doesn't explain why she chose a student as the object of her desire. Clearly something else going on there.

Great job on him though. If we see a South Park Keith show up on the show we'll know who the shout out is to.
Off to watch, missed the early show.
