before you can hang with this EDV.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against fair criticism of Keith. But to call up Stephanie Miller this morning and refer to his work during the convention as "an abortion"...that was, in my opinion, too much. (Even SHE cut you off.)

Keith is being paid for his expertise and his commentary--quite a bit of money, in fact. So is everyone else on MSNBC. They are not being paid to be silent, or to train a camera on everything that happens at the convention and just let it roll. If that's the kind of coverage you want, you have an alternative, and it's called C-SPAN. You can switch to it anytime you want. No one is forcing you to watch the way MSNBC covers things.

Keith said many important and cogent things during this convention, and I, for one, enjoyed what he said. If I didn't, I'd have switched to C-SPAN.

To miss Schwitzer, Ann Eisenhower, Tammy Duckworth, and Kerry so talking
heads can tell people what they just heard was low rent. And yes C-SPAN is
good but to fill every freaking minute with blather is far below the standards
set by KO.

As for his expertise some of should have come in on the idea that if you have
good speakers let them speak.

BTW when 2 people are speaking nobody can hear & keep the interpersonal
shit off the air ... low rent.

If you're just going to train a camera on the speakers and let them speak, why pay anyone to comment at all?

Tell me: why should MSNBC pay Keith and everyone else to shut up and sit around on their asses listening to speeches when all they are doing is duplicating what's on C-SPAN?

I didn't have a problem with the "interpersonal shit." And I don't care who else on DU, Daily Kos or all the progressive radio shows thought MSNBC sucked, or that Keith sucked, either. I choose to watch them. At least they didn't deliver nothing but Repug talking points like some other channels I could mention (from what I hear).
