The Billiman family whom reside in Buell Park, Arizona (near Sawmill, Arizona) is also home to a young Dine soldier currently serving in Iraq. On November 9, 2006 the Billiman family received this very tragic news of their loved one fate late Thursday evening from military representatives of possible injury.

Army Specialist, under the Army Reserve 1st Battalion-133 Infantry, Mr. Alroy Billiman, (27 years old) sustained the near fatal injury and reported to have received an amputation of right arm from his elbow down & sustained a fractured right leg. Mr. Billiman sustained this severe injury while on duty early November 9, 2006 when his convoy was in route from Jordan into Iraq carry military staff, supplies and food to other units that was then hit by a roadside bomb. Of the four army unit personnel at the front-end of the convoy, Mr. Billiman, was the only one whom sustained serious injury and was immediately evacuated to the military hospital in Germany.

His current condition has been stabilized, however, undergoing surgery this morning on the eve of Veterans Day. The Army has informed the family of the plans in the days to come of his return to the United States and the continued health care planned in this long process of healing, rehabilitation therapy........
