Alternative Dispute Resolution session tomorrow/Monday, 1 p.m.
s.o.b's been avoiding, as well as slandering my atty. Judge ordered 2 such sessions prior to trial, scheduled for Nov 30. May not be able to sleep.

1. Can't he be held in comtempt of court
for not showing up?

My ex got a fast contempt of court citation merely for being late on his support payment.

2. Yes, he could be.

FYI, we appear to have an agreement. (Just got home.) My atty will memorialize it, will go to the Judge Nov 30, and cash will follow (this assumes that the s.o.b. agrees that atty's writing conforms to what we agreed. Issue here: He drives my atty nuts, accuses him of all sorts of things, JUST LIKE the repug he is, no kidding.)

So on to dinner now, and maybe a bit of wine.

Thx!

5. hope it all goes ok for you.
a friend of 'ours' was supposed to hook me up with an attorney. he had talked to us both and was under the impression that we could work things out with a mediator. honestly, i find that just laughable.
i will be seeing an attorney soon. think i have a good one. comes highly recommended. i can't wait a whole lot longer to just know what the law says, and what kind of settlement i am likely to get. feel so 'without a net' right now.

but, i am going to pick up my paycheck for my election work and that will feel good. got 2 interviews on friday. if only i can get a resume put together. blech.

7. Best of luck to you.
Hope you are able to move on. 3 years this January for me and life is great now. At the time I didn't know if I would make it or not.

Never marry a cop.
