Anyone get the Superman/Batman Public Enemies DCU movie?
Edited on Wed Sep-30-09 12:20 AM by petersond
I got it earlier tonight, and I thought it was pretty good, a few things I thought were...well, weird though.

I haven't read the graphic yet, but the animated flick I thought was very good, that animation was very refreshing.

The quibbles I have are Batman punching Solomon Grundy and actually hurting him. And the way in which Hawkman/Capt Marvel are dealt with, or I should say, not dealt with. Oh, and the Amanda Waller scene with Lex towards the end, wtf is up with that.

eta:oh yeah, the Toyman part at the end, that made no sense to me as well...

1. We're getting together to watch that and the Green Lantern one on Sunday.
Looking forward to it.

3. Baffles me: They produce DC stuff left and right and yet they run away from the Dini/Timm DCAU.
Why not keep up within that same continuity? And art style?

They could do a Green Lantern Corps series. Or a Wonder Woman series. Or a Flash series. Or a Suicide Squad Task Force X series. They could have set the Legion of Super Heroes series within the DCAU. And the Teen Titans one too.

Hell, they could do a DCAU version of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

4. Agreed, I have no idea why DC and the PTB
are afraid to continue on with the Timm/Dini aspect of Batman/Superman/JLA animated series, I was seriously, SERIOUSLY pissed off that they quit making those cartoons. Hell, they were going into directions that made more damn sense that the comics!
