1. Bis and Tris, and a little cardio on the ellipitical Precor monster . . .
Leg day is getting to be my favorite too, at least that's what I tell myself every Wednesday when it comes around. . .

2. I wimped out!
It was supposed to be arm day, but I had a chiroquacktor appointment and wanted to go to the nursery to get some strawberries and possibly a new grape, and felt too guilty to go to the gym after that (woulda been a solid 2.25 hour lunch).

*sigh*

3. easy-does-it biking and running
didn't actually track my distances - maybe about 3-4 miles on the bike, a 3/4 mile jog, then a leisurely 3-4 miles home. The main point was to get used to the bike-to-run transition, but I also found myself very much enjoying a beautiful area of Houston (yes, such a thing exists!)

5. Saturday tri training
at the gym just before closing tonight:

1. 6 minutes/2.2 miles stationary bike
2. 6 minutes/one-half mile treadmill

I did 1&2 three times, 36 minutes total, pushing pretty hard the whole time. It felt great!

7. And Sunday, the gym was closed!
Of all the nerve... :grr:

Ran 2 miles, walked 2 miles. That's actually pretty impressive for me, as I'm not very good at running.

8. good job, Zen
I can relate -- when I started my triathlon training 2 months ago, was only able to go 2 miles on the treadmill MOSTLY running with some walking every now and then. I've increased my running distance bit by bit as my legs, heart, and lungs get stronger.

Meanwhile, MY gym was open yesterday: swam 500 meters, biked 30 minutes on the stationary bike (10.8 miles). Nothing today yet. Will let someone who works out TODAY start the next thread!

9. a fun day
Clean & jerks, up to 155 lbs, my very modest previous best. It was easy, so will try more weight next week. I think 175 is possible. My eventual goal is 300 lbs. I hadn't done any C&J in three weeks. Weird.

Push presses up to 135 lbs - again, had more in the bag. Then curls, and an interval workout on the elliptical trainer.
