What we did in response to the NC church that banned Dems....

We lead the Dances of Universal Peace each weekend; on this weekend, we lead two Dances, one in Springfield MO and the other in Harrison AR. At both, we talked about the Baptist Church that had ousted Dems. It was an intersting discussion; one lady (a first time Dancer) had been raised in a fundamentalist church and was just now exploring other avenues of faith. We all, in our own way, prayed for hope and enlightment on the preacher and the congregation as we danced this Dance (lyrics below):

(the last lines, in Arabic, can be translated: God is Love, Lover, and Beloved; only God, or only Unity).

Jesus said to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you and use you. I believe what was meant by that was to send the Love which is our essence to those who have forgotten and are hemmed in by their fear. I couldn't travel to NC to attend services at the church or with the ousted members, but I felt connected with both as we danced and prayed. If one offers up only love, hate becomes powerless, for it is merely a shadow and has no real substance. Hate gains semming power when we bend our minds and thoughts to it-we create the illusion, one that is so strong it can appear to be real.
