Animation Review: New Fist of the North Star
Edited on Sun Jul-19-09 03:29 PM by ZombieHorde
Not to be confused with Fist of the North Star.

New Fist of the North Star

Story: An evil and powerful theocracy in a post-apocalyptic world is confronted by a martial arts master.

Animation: Very good, but there are a few short overhead shots of the main city which were done using dated computer animation. Some scenes are definitely more detailed than other scenes.

Humor: No intentional humor.

Violence: Many scenes of martial arts violence and exploding heads.

Hentai Action: A little brief nudity.

Overall: The main character can cause various effects by touching special "vital points" on a human. The vital point he seems to enjoy the most is the one which makes people's head explode. Predictable story, but a really fun and fast paced show, which is pretty good considering it is 2 hours and 55 minutes long.

1. "No intentional humor"
Well you've never played a FOTNS drinking game with exploding heads, have you?

3. I don't know, I have never seen the original. I heard this one is a remake,
but I don't know for sure.

The story is easy to follow, the animation is mostly decent, and the violence is over the top. Fun cartoon.
