do any of you do Political Art ?
politics started me painting again dec 11 2000. not computer savvy enough for digital so it's drawing and spray paint etc.....
It is a great way to release the hatred you get for the neocons.

1. I started painting again after a long hiatus just this year...
Initial, over the summer, it was out of hope...now my paintings are starting to get desperate looking again...

My work has never really been political, but I do play with liberal ideas sometimes...

Here's a work in progress i started just last weekend...

5. Sorta...
I call what I do "photo vandelism..." more appropriately, perhaps, it is "collage." My only outlet for this is DU, and I'm known only as a "Swamp Rat." I guess this is a spontaneous "art show" of my recent work. :)

Being a child of talented artists also helps, but my forté is music... though, after decades of music, I am getting restless and more interested in returning to visual arts and

multimedia. I really miss sculpting and throwing pots, and especially using a raku kiln. It's been decades since I did batik, silk screen, tie dye, and painting.

... but I'm really fascinated with what I can do with a simple program like Photoshop Elements and an iMac G5. :D

6. your stuff kills me,it is beyond art
Right now in this country art is stagnant, not that there isn't tons of great art being done,it's just thatthe powers that be hate art because it is about imagination. If people had imagination they would not buy into the facism. The snoot element of artsy fartsyness tucks thier head under a rock to hide till things get better,in the 30s artists came to America, now artists want to leave so they can sell and make a living.
As far as I am concerned YOU do art and the auction houses & gallerys sell investment garbage to neocons so they can sit on it and make a profit.

9. wonderful!
Ed,

These are great. I can't believe that no one commented. I especially like the SEC/Corporate Fraud Punch & Judy show concept. And the clarity of 'Which stain is worse.'

11. Alreayd posted before, but...
it's definitely appropriate for this topic.

The headline originally read "Rumsfeld gets glimpse of postwar Iraq" it was from the Boston Globe during the first half of 2002. I wish I had signed and dated this one.
