Question for you photographers, amateur and professional...
:)

Does anyone know if there a group of photographers who photograph a wide variety of subjects and topics and might be willing to align with bloggers to use their images without having to approve each and every image?

I know there is a Creative Commons section of Flickr (I'm really not knowledgeable about photography at all), but I have still have trouble getting permission to use images in a timely manner many times, since most still require contacting the image owner.

More specifically, I'm going to blog about poverty, hunger and homelessness, as well as other social issues, and would love to find a group of photographers -- or even one or two prolific photographers -- I could contact to use their images, so long as I credit them properly, of course.

If you have any suggestions, I'd be most grateful.

Thanks. :hi:

1. I've used Wikimedia in the past
Although most of their images are old ones, and I wonder if they really have many on poverty, etc...........maybe not.

Let me know anytime you need photos of herons, gulls, pelicans, ducks, geese, or landscapes. :)

Good luck with your project!

3. You could solicit freebies
and maybe people would allow you to use certain photos ahead of time?

4. I would inquire within the homeless community.
Since you are going to blog in the area of poverty and homelessness you more than likely will need to form relationships with the services that are in direct contact with that population, I would use those relationships to find photographers that are more involved in that genre of photography and want another outlet for exposure.
