1. I appreciate this, Alfredo! And bookmarked it. Though our very own
regnaD kciN could give the lecture.
I have a love / not love so much relationship with the water looking so much like fluid velvet. It's not how water looks to me. Of course the frozen way of a high shutter speed is not it either.

There is something grippingly and breathtakingly beautiful about an image like the one you show, it's fairy land to me. So
the rare times I'm at a waterfall and can concentrate on it, I try to find the middle.
Just pleasing myself with the results.
Not calendar material, that's for sure.

2. It's also great fortune to live in a place with so much beauty.
I haven't been around a waterfall since maybe 1978. It was Boulder Falls on the road between Boulder and Nederland, Colorado.

Around here we have gentle rapids.

3. How very WONDERFUL. Thanks. I love these.
I have to go look what you entered for "water" recently. OOPS.
I remember now.
And though I thought it was a magnificently gentlemanly act to give your spot to Xipe - I never quite understood why that happened.

5. Thanks. Winning or losing is of little interest in me. Promoting
our forum is of interest to me. I want more people involved. Sometimes I enter to help get 30 entries. Sometimes I enter because I have a good image.

If someone misses the deadline through no fault of their own, I'm happy to step aside so they can compete. I'm here to learn and have fun.

7. You are a prince Alfredo. I have long known it. Yet,
I expect that you enter one for the shadow contest. Early and often.
It's not only about winning or losing it's about participating in the fun.
:)

6. I have used a tripod and ND filters with some success.
I've used the ND filter and braced the camera successfully.

Practice on your kitchen sink.
