Boulder Falls
Here are the first set of photos I've done since moving to Boulder, CO about 2 weeks ago. Let me know what you think!

1. Simply awesome

Don't ya' dig how blue :P the sky is here? Hope you're getting settled. We should have a Colorado DU snaparoo party!!! Meet somewhere to point our cameras at "stuff". There are quite a few of us here in this "purple" :eyes: state.

... and how come I'm the only one who sucks at landscape shots?
:( These are very nice. How'd you get that rainbow effect in that one shot? 2 kewl.

:hi:

2. The rainbow effect
The sun was shining down in rays from overhead, and when I did 'auto color correction' it split the rays up into rainbows. Neat, huh?

I'd love to have a photography party sometime... somewhere really scenic, which is like... anywhere in this area! Count me in!

3. I like the rainbow effect as well
You know what would be cool? If you set up your camera on a tripod to catch the water crashing against the rocks.

So why did you move to Colorado? How do you like it over there? A complete different world from Florida, I imagine.

4. Did ya see that sign in the first picture? ;)
There was no way to get a tripod anywhere near there. But cool idea.

I moved to Colorado to be closer to some family (sister and nieces live here), and because I hated where I was living in Florida. I'm really liking it here, the people are liberal, laid-back, non-judgemental and accepting. And the weather has been great so far. We were supposed to get snow last week, and parts of Denver did, but all we got was rain.

I will miss the next south florida DU meetup, though! Damn! Well, I will be there in spirit!

5. Boulder is in a very pretty part of this country,
as your pictures show. You should enjoy doing photography in that area.

If you shop at Whole Foods and see some temporally displaced hippie kid dancing with the shopping carts give him a hug and a hello from his old man. Well, you might want to confirm his ID first by asking him if he has any herb walks planned or advice on naturopathic remedies -- if you get a blank stare, it's probably the wrong cart-herder.

7. You realize asking anyone dancing with carts

about "herb" and "naturopathic remidies" in Boulder may still lead you to the wrong person, as well as to unintended consequences, don't you? :smoke:
