Turkey (the country, not the bird) ~ Part 1
The family and I had the pleasure to get away for 8 days to Turkey. Although it's only around 950 miles from Kiev, it's a whole new world, a different culture, and a different continent too. And it has a lot of those mean Muslims too.

:sarcasm:

On the road near Kemer.

Ancient city of Myra.

1. Great photos!
My favorite is "The Sunken Region of Kekova." The photo tells its own story.

3. I've been waiting! And thank you.
Naturally I now want to go to the ancient city with my name. And the last photo, Kekova, the sunken city stairs is heart stopping. Really.

I'm glad you are enjoying your visit to Turkey. I must ask my brother if when I next come to Germany we could take a trip to Turkey and to Myra. He will so crack up, and maybe say yes.

7. It's a deal. That's where I fly to, anyway.
You and I could go to Heidelberg together, it's not far, and we would have a blast taking photos of each other up at the castle through the empty windows.
You know what I'm talking about!
Then I go on to Karlsruhe where Mom lives, and she turns 86 next week.

Thanks for saying that, my very dear Miss Honeychurch.
Be assured it's dangerous to say such a thing to me.

One of our friends here (Germany) is from Turkey and tells us we need to go to Turkey for holiday - I agree.
