As much as great photos usually find their audience in contests, sometimes great ones don't. Alfredo's entry seems to be the latest to fall into that conundrum.
9. There is definitely, from what I can tell, a difference in the results of
a photo contest depending on whether it's judged by the public at large or a panel of professionals. I think those two groups of people look at the photos somewhat differently, perhaps? :)
I was waiting until this one is done to make a suggestion, and I am not sure if it is technically possible within the DU framework anyway, or that anyone will agree with me, and I will still wait
I've seen more than a few (non-online) contests judged by a "professional artist," in which the winners were, hands down, the ugliest and most ridiculous entries of the whole bunch.
