Don't you agree? This one needed a little something extra to highlight the photo.

12. You got that right!
I tried looking at it for a few seconds and I could hear the birds trying to influence my actions. :)

4. Awesome. But do the four corner patterns have to repeat?
Once would be enough and then there's spaces for three more designs.

I think we would be great Co-Czarinas.

14. I actually thought of that
I thought that would be a bit much for some people here. I didn't want to push the limits. Also, I was considering the picture itself. I didn't want to compete with the great angles in the rafters in the boat dock. Still, it was a close call for me, I admit.

but I think the photo sort of overpowers the frame.

17. It's nest building material
Edited on Sat Apr-24-10 12:26 PM by Celebration
Likely to build a nest right over where our boat slip is............

And, if this is Las Vegas, then this is the bar at Harrah's

8. Purikura themed contest!

For those who aren't familiar with purikura, click here http://www.puricute.com/ and be amazed at Japanese photobooth technology.

9. I don't like the outer frame...
I find the space between the blinking black border and the photo gets lost in the white outside the border. I think you should add a bright colour (maybe a nice tasteful fire-engine red) in that space. Maybe blinking and with small white or silver bird icons stamped all around. I think that might help.

10. It's unfortunate that DU doesn't allow
embedded audio. Without it, it seems the potential for frames is severely limited. No sirens, drum riffs, cymbals, wolf howls, . Just silence. Almost impossible to really bring adequate attention without adding sound with the borders. Or maybe coupons.

(+5 for creative commentary)

20. Okay, that does it!!
I might even stop trying the tasteful frame idea until I figure out how to marry them with coupons!

Ordinarily I would say the sounds were a good idea, but once a photo contest thread was downloaded, if EVERYONE had bird chirps or train blasts going at the same time, it could be a bit noisy........But for a single picture, heck yeah!

22. Scratch and sniff
We shouldn't ignore the olfactory components. A photo should convey the full sensory experience.

Because they illustrate that what you see is not always what you get.
