1. I like the black and white "open"...like something out of "Twlight Zone"

3. Reminded me of that too.
The mannequin episode of that show freaked me out when I was a kid. Never get tired of watching it now.

5. "The After Hours"
with Ann Francis. And yes, the black and white photos do capture that strange eerieness of that episode.

4. That 'guy' in the penultimate one looks like someone out of Captain Scarlet
(or Fireball XL-5 or Thunderbirds depending upon your preference :) )

Funny, you'd think that more mannequins would look like the supermarionation characters...

6. Creepy
There's a good juxtaposition in the 4th one, with the photo of the model in the background. It makes a weird situation where the fake people in the foreground are more real than the "real" person in the background. Then there's those unsettling mannequins staring straight into the camera. I like this series of photos.

8. Thanks. The window in the 4th one is always interesting
because you can see so much of the space behind the window. The shot didn't work at all in color, for reasons I don't quite understand. Maybe the desaturation helps to pull everything tighter front to back without destroying the sense of depth.

10. These are new.
My best friend has an apartment above one of the stores so I'm down there as often as time permits, and it's only a 20-minute walk. I have way more of these in the archives. Beware!

I was even thinking of photographing the hakka meal we had at a restaurant down there that night, but no photograph could ever convey how fantastic the food is, so I left the camera in the bag and proceeded to just stuff my face.

11. I'm just kidding with you, Jeff, but I have to wonder
what other people passing by think you are about when you take pics there so often after dark. LOL

12. I do get some looks.
But better than getting mugged, I guess.
