Tomatoes and peppers in the first box with herbs in the tubs behind... and WEEDS behind that . Broccoli and Gala melons in box at top right.


Sunflowers, turnips and acorn squash in first box. Lettuce, parsley and pumpkins in second one. Tomatoes and peppers in the third one. Lemon cucumbers in box to left which also has plastic covered, hinged lids and functions as a cold frame in the early spring. To the right is the melons and broccoli, and off frame in front another box with Italian peppers, green beans and chard. All of these boxes are made with the lumber from a client's deck.

1. Yum! I had squash (zucchini) blossoms in Italy: dee-lish!

I don't like zucchini but this is good!

2. This is so fabulous. One day I'll grow up and do that too. I sent the zucchini

blossom recipe on to my son, whose zucchini are flowering profusely.
