Garen Tour Dial up warning
A wildflower that pops out this time of year. Diogenes Lanterns.

I don't know what these little outer space looking things are, but this is what they do.

Blue flag iris. I have these in my ponds.

Pink rock rose I just planted. These are very prolific and should cover a lot of area soon.

Lavender.

White rock rose with squill, which is related to agapanthus.

Close up of squill

Calendula growing wild at the end of my driveway.

My wine barrel ponds with iris.

My large pond with fish and iris. Sorry about the blasted out background.

My favorite geranium. It produces little red starburst clusters of flowers. I love the leaves on this one.

And a new addition to the garden. He's pretty skinny. Looks like he just came out of hibernation. Fortunately my fish are too big for him to eat this year.

1. My dear NV Whino!
Very nice!

Your flower pics are just beautiful...

I esp. admire the squill and the outer space pics...How did you get those side by side?

Thanks for sharing!

3. I do love this time of year
We were fighting some late frosts and seeing all these guys come out is very refreshing. And eclectic is right! My gardening philosophy consists of: If it grows, it stays, if it doesn't I try something else.

Most of the place is pretty wild and wooly, but I've tamed a little oasis directly around the house.

4. That's a nice pond
and the frog looks right at home there. I like your outer space plants. They might be a kind of plantain, but I'm not sure.
