2. There's something about a black & white with such perfect lighting
that just does it for me. Whoever built that place might be dismayed to see it in its current state, but you've dignified it and beautified it with a fine portrait. Wow.

5. Very important point.
It's a real challenge to do these conversions well. I have about half a dozen favorite workflow methods for conversions now, used depending on the nature of the input photo, and not one of them seems satisfactory. This is a case where the conversion was done so sensitively it's hard to believe there was ever a color version, or needed to be.

3. I went to look at the color version again - and am surprisingly sure I like it better.
Both have incredible charm, the b/w looks like a fake front out of a movie (Blazing Saddles set comes to mind).
Both make an impact, but I would frame and hang up and thoroughly love the one with the color.
