I've been too busy to post or even read much on DU in the last few weeks, never mind getting time to take new photos. Most of us saw everything everyone submitted, but let's put them all in one place for those who haven't. Let's see yours! 3. well, JeffR, since everyone else seems chicken...

and I can't post any pics (due to disqualifying myself from entering since I was running the contest), let me say at least say that I loved your submissions. While I personally think that the correct photograph won, I would have liked just about any of them in the calendar. I particularly liked "Free Parking" and "Southbound, Osgoode Station" and I loved "World Against War, 2008".

on second reading, I sounded harsher than I meant to anyway. You aren't a bunch of chickens, but the finest cats.

14. Can I add Framed to your list?

My favourites are the same as yours, but I especially like Framed and the way it always draws the eye back to the person in the "frame".

15. Wow

I know I keep saying this, but it is sooooo pretty up there. And those mountains are huge! I mean, we have big mountains here, but those are HUGE!


Also, the second photo reminds me of Scotland. I love the symmetry of the reflections.

it's in Sweden on the island Gotland and they call it Raukar. They have a lot of those.

21. I love the pelicans, Merh,

and that sunset/rise is gorgeous. I also really like the next to the last one, the black-headed gulls. We have some up here that look like that in the spring, but after they mate they turn white all over...Bonaparte's gulls, I believe they are. I'm not sure if yours are the same.

22. The sunrise is one of my favorites

and those are laughing gulls - the line up photo of all the gulls has a bonaparte gull - he seems out of place and is a tad bigger than the others.

I'm having fun discovering my digital camera.

20. I come and I look and then come back and look some more

the variety of subject matters/environs/interpretations show how though we're so much the same we're also so different.
I am thrilled to have found the photography forum, and love hanging out here.
I sometimes just come back to study the picture "Framed".
