2. Okay, am I blind -- I don't see anything
Just that Hamas won, and then on the right there's that old article about how there isn't going to be a filibuster. More specific link?

Sen. Kerry calls for filibuster of Alito
Unclear if Massachusetts Democrat has votes needed to block nominee

Thursday, January 26, 2006; Posted: 4:23 p.m. EST (21:23 GMT)

Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito is expected to be approved by the Senate.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. John Kerry has decided to support a filibuster to block the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court, CNN's Congressional Correspondent Ed Henry reported Thursday.

Kerry, in Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum, was marshaling support in phone calls during the day, Henry said.

He announced his decision Wednesday to a group of Democratic senators, urging they join him, Henry said. Kerry also has the support of his fellow Massachusetts senator, Democrat Edward Kennedy.

Some senior Democrats said they are worried that the move could backfire.

Republicans need 60 votes to overturn a filibuster.

Senior White House officials said the move makes the Democrats look bad, and Republicans already have enough votes to overcome any filibuster attempt.

If you notice the spin has begun.

12. I found this.
Snip...

Republicans say the delay is the result of Democrats hoping to prevent a victory for the president before his address, but one aide to a Democratic Judiciary Committee member said he thought Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist may be holding off because some Republicans will be in Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum.

15. It's now front paged on dKos, too
Some a**hole said he "despised" Kerry, and then called him a prick. I gave that motherf***er a 0, and pretty much everyone else gave him a bad rating too.

I have to tell you, guys, this is very risky. I love him, and I support him, but when this (most likely) fails, he is going to skewered on the MSM and liberal blogosphere. What are OUR talking points when that possible s*** hits the fan? I'm saying already that Kerry stands for principle, and that when Alito starts making the dastard decisions on the SC, I will remember who fought and who laid down in the Senate. Any other talking points?
