John Kerry Did Not Vote To Go To War

<...>

Everything Kerry said would happen, happened. The skyrocketing costs of the war, both in lives lost, and tax dollars spent blow Americans away. The country was not prepared to sustain such a drastic drain on its resources. Nor were we prepared for the hatred that has been directed at Americans, not only in Iraq, but also throughout the Middle East.

Just like Kerry predicted, the region has become a magnet for terrorists that hate Americans. And he's right; Saddam's capture provides no consolation when weighed against the mess Bush got us into.

A scheme that turned Iraq into a boomtown for Bush and his fellow war profiteers, has turned into a never-ending nightmare for the rest of the country. First thing we see each morning, when we turn on the TV or pick up a newspaper, is the number of soldiers killed or injured the day before. And there is no end in sight.

John Kerry bears no responsibility whatsoever for the war in Iraq. If he had been president we never would have ended up there to begin with.

What we've been saying all along.

Most of the lefty freepbots who refuse to understand IWR are remaining willfully ignorant. They know perfectly well that Kerry would not have led us to war, nor did he intend war with his vote - they are just playing dumb and being disingenuous, because it supports their agenda. x(

Don't mind me, I'm in a cranky mood today.

2. What's infuriating is that we all know that every
political commentator in the major papers really knows this too. They also know they did too little in Jan, Feb, March when the inspectors were in and Bush was (strangely saying they weren't cooperating.)

4. Great idea - I've never thought to do that
and this is a very well written summary. (I think all of us have tried to cite the same facts - and i've never seen it done better.

5. I never have, either
But then I thought about how, in putting her email up there, she was subjecting herself to so much freeper nonsense, and that she really deserved some kind words for speaking up.

Now, off to email THK...

6. Thank you! Great article.
Nice to hear someone finally speak out. If only we could get others in the media to do the same.

God is it refreshing to hear some truth for a change!

8. Odd. Evelyn seems ok, but the rest of that site is pretty putrid.
At least the stuff by Jim Kouri (e.g. "Why Senate Democrats Pulled the Rule 21 Stunt") and Doug Hagin (e.g. "Racism and Liberalism").

Kouri has a lot of posts there, so I think it's a fair indication of the tenor of the site. I'm sure Evelyn is only there for "balance" or so that they can claim to be "independent, neither right nor left." I hope they keep posting her material, but I wonder how long they will.
