LTTE: The Lowell Sun 9/8/05
Edited on Thu Sep-08-05 08:08 PM by TayTay
Lest I remind you: The Lowell Sun endorsed That Horse's Ass for President in '08.

From the Backtalk column of a pretty RW newspaper in MA.

IMPEACH BUSH: People are hurting in the Gulf States. No National Guard to carry out evacuations before the storm. Four thousand of Louisiana's National Guard are in Iraq. If Sen. John Kerry really cares; he'll call for Bush's impeachment for incompetence.
----- Tewksbury.

It's over for Bush. Every letter in the damn section was negative on Bush. Yes, I know this is Massachusetts, but damnit, they supported That Horse's Ass and the letters columns have always been pretty red.
I am loving this. Of course, this means that the libs are going way left on Kerry again, but I can deal.

Happy Happy, Joy Joy!

1. An endorsement in '04, right?
I've wanted to throw my paper here in Virginia Beach out the window. Some a-hole wrote a letter about personal responsibility. I TOTALLY disagree with this "blame the victim" crap. But you notice that conservatives blame EVERYBODY, and say PEOPLE are responsible for everything, yet big corporations and * are utterly responsible for NOTHING. If our "role model", President Bush, cannot admit mistakes and never takes responsibility for them, then why would the American people do much differently?

Actually, there was a good letter in our paper, that said since our government are a bunch of looters, why wouldn't the people of NO follow suit?

Anyway, glad to see people writing into the Lowell Sun are beginning to show some common sense.

2. Nice.
Here's your reward: a Santorum nugget. And an mp3 too!!!

Santorum has critical words for forecasters in the wake of Katrina 09/09/2005
Damon Boughamer
(Washington) -- U.S. Senator Rick Santorum is suggesting that early mistakes in predicting the path of Hurricane Katrina may be a symptom of lost focus at the National Weather Service. Santorum, who introduced legislation earlier this year to curb the output of government weather forecasters, says tracking life-threatening weather must be central to what the agency is doing.

Asked about Katrina by WITF, Santorum described weather service warnings for Florida, where the storm first made landfall, as “not sufficient." Santorum’s bill instructs the government to abandon weather prediction and data reporting efforts that duplicate private-sector activity. He came under fire when it was revealed that the head of State College-based AccuWeather, which would benefit, has given his campaigns thousands of dollars.

As the blogger at CapitolBuzz says,

Rick Santorum justified Keith Olbermann's decision to name him the worst person of all time this morning by renewing his stupid effort to destroy the National Weather Service.

Actually, Olbermann named him "Worst Person in the World", but since he awards the honor every night Santorum still is not (officially, anyway) the Worst Person of All Time. Nah, as long as there's a Dick Cheney Santorum will never win that one.

3. Here's hoping the rest of the country continues to wake up.
I was just thinking, it'll be nice not to be so lonely in my Kerry support in my neck of the woods.
