I Just got back from the John Edwards Minimum wage Rally in Columbus

What a great time I had. I got there a couple hours early and I ended up volunteering for ACORN, the group that was helping put it on. I met many different leaders from Ohio including Columbus Mayor and Democratic Candidate for Ohio Governor Mike Coleman. But most of all I MET JOHN EDWARDS!!!!!

He is such a nice guy, I even got a picture with him, we were shaking hands and all. I will have plenty of pictures online here tomorrow of the rally and me and Edwards.

John Edwards really spoke wonders today and made me a real believer that there is a climate change happening in Ohio and all acrossed the United States. He spoke volumes when he said that it was up to us to change America because the people in Washington wouldnt. He said its an embarassment to America when Tom Delay is cheering when the United States Senate is approved a pay raise, yet the hardworking folks of America are falling more and more below the poverty level.

I was really suprised when the minister from the United Christian church came up and said that Republicans definition of moral values is giving tax cuts to the rich and watching more and more hardworking Americans fall beneath the poverty line.

UCC is a liberal Church and they are beginning to organize some massive Christian response to the Right Wing domination of the religious discussion in politics in America.

I'm glad you got to see Edwards. I hope you share your photo's. :) I'm glad Edwards is still out there! I loved him and Kerry together and wish they were my president and vice president now. *sigh* I was proud to vote and support them though for my first vote.

6. I have pix from the Phoenix Edwards event, and I have

pix of me and Edwards too! I don't know how to post ! Can you tell me? I didn't post about it as I had posted a long post about another Edwards event but he was impressive as usual. I love this guy and best of all he really does remember me!
At the end of the event there were just a few of us an Edwards left and a woman on crutches and a little girl came up and asked for an autograph. The mother was disabled and home schooling the little girl.They asked if the little girl could sing for John.He stopped everything and bent down to hear her sing. She was only about seven years old but has an operatic quality voice! She sang Christine from Phantom of the Opera! Edwards and I were both stunned. He thanked her and gave her a hug. He signed an autograph. For what its worth, I offered to try and get her involved in childrens theatre. This kid is a potential Broadway star! Maybe I can help her and her mother.

You have to have an online location to store your pictures. I use photobucket, but there's others. It's really easy, you just click to upload your picture, then after it's uploaded you copy the http:// and paste it into the message window where you want the picture. If you need any help, just holler up.

That is a beautiful story. I love how our Dems always take time for people and show genuine interest. I honestly don't see this from Republicans anywhere near as often.

That is one of the drawbacks of living where I live. We're pretty blue, so no need to do any swing state work. And we're not large enough to attract too many people just for the sake of coming here. Looking forward to your posts tomorrow.
